Mobile Collections Clerk [Canada]


 

This position is responsible for responding to incoming phone calls and faxes, coordinating and data entering collection requests from external clients for Mobile Collection Services (MCS) and performing general office duties. If you have a passion for assisting elderly and infirm patients, in a challenging and rewarding environment, this opportunity may be for you. Major Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates requests for home collection and continuing care residents at the request of various clients, programs, and physicians.
  • Communicates with patients by phone to provide basic information about MCS and completes a verbal site safety assessment prior to providing MCS.
  • Day to day operational responsibilities include technical performance, customer service and quality assurance.
  • Data enters test requests into the LIS
  • Verifies updates and maintains patient files in LIS (laboratory Information System)
  • Ensures patient eligibility criteria is met.
  • Reviews and follows up LIS audits.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client service and public relations
  • Maintains professionalism at all times.
  • Performs duties efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong team player with the ability to perform duties independently and professionally.
  • Training in telephone etiquette an asset.


Required Experience
  • A medical/laboratory background is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite Software is required.
  • Previous customer service experience is required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Medical terminology

  • As workload demands and operational requirements shift, the location, dates and/or hours of work may be changed.
  • New location Royal Vista Lab, 32 Royal Vista Drive NW, Calgary (date to be determined)
