The Company:

NET Modular is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Modulaire Group of companies, specialising in the manufacture of purpose-designed modular buildings.
Operating since 1987, NET Modular is at the forefront of innovation for the manufacture of transportable modular buildings and can provide solutions across a range of industries and applications.

Currently operating from four factories comprising 13,730sqm of undercover factory space and 52,117sqm of handstand and operational areas.

The Position:

Reporting into the General Manager, NET Modular is seeking a Commercial Manager who will work with the Senior Management team to develop, facilitate plans and find solutions to manage risk and grow the business.
You will manage all commercial matters, financial negotiations and oversee projects from inception to completion, identifying and mitigating risk and nurturing relationships with the client throughout the project lifecycle.

Additionally, you will have a passion for working closely with the senior leadership team to achieve joint goals and solve challenges across the entire organisation, and not only your siloed team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of our client contracts and maintain a strong relationship and business understanding
  • Develop financial plans including budgeting and forecasting for short and long term
  • Work closely with the procurement team in the development and submission of new tenders to provide valuable advice and expertise
  • Partner with the General Manager and management team to establish financial frameworks and budgets
  • Analyse WIP, stock, and job profitability regularly and determine areas of business improvement
  • Minimise liability exposure and financial risk by ensuring contracts are appropriately drafted and administered, negotiating terms and conditions where appropriate
  • Provide ongoing support to operations by analysing business performance data, including profitability, revenue, pricing and operating costs
  • Analyse additional revenue streams and business opportunities as they arise
  • Assess risks involved with new initiatives.
  • Generate and Communicate Monthly Reports to clients and Leadership team and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Actively support NET Modular and Ausco management to ensure global policy and procedures are correctly implemented and maintained
What will you bring to the role:

You will bring a strong commercial and contract focus mindset to the role coupled with a strong financial acumen to help drive the business in the right direction and mitigate risk, whilst ensuring a strong client relationship

As an experienced leader, you will be enthusiastic about making a difference, solving challenges, and producing solutions for the broader business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Law, Business Administration or Management
  • Excellent negotiation and contract Management skills, knowledge of GC21 or similar contracts advantageous
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Advanced in ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central)
  • Strong experience in Manufacturing, Construction or Heavy Industry highly regarded
